AGGREGATE

This is an electrical device installed in refrigerated containers. Thanks to it, it is possible to set any temperature from -30*C to +30*C that will prevail in the interior. There are several brands of generators: Carrier, Daikin, Starcool and ThermoKing. Each of them has different advantages and a different temperature range.

BRIDGE FITTING

A hook mounted in the cubes, enabling side connection of containers.

CORTEN

A special type of 2 mm thick steel used for container production. This is a low-alloy steel with increased copper content, offering high resistance to atmospheric conditions.

CSC

A sticker confirming approval for transport. It includes an expiration date indicating until when the container can be used for maritime transport. In English, *Convention for Safe Containers*, referring to the certification of a container for safe maritime use.

GRETTING

An aluminum flooring system typical for refrigerated containers. It has a "T"-shaped profile that facilitates air circulation beneath the cargo. Some refrigerated containers feature flat floors with grooves serving the same purpose. Thanks to gretting, goods can be stored in a refrigerated container without the need for pallets.

HDS

A truck equipped with a hydraulic arm for unloading, e.g., containers. Depending on the power of the HDS, it might not suffice for heavier loads, in which case even a small crane can be used.

LOCK BOX

A metal cover in the shape of a box that prevents tampering with the padlock. This additional security measure for container doors prevents actions such as cutting the padlock.

RAMP

A ramp that facilitates seamless entry into a container. It allows for the loading of goods using pallet jacks or forklifts.

NOR

Non-Operating Reefer – a refrigerated container with a non-functional aggregate. Such a container can be used as an insulated container and transported at standard container rates.

FLOOR

In a container, the floor is made of laminated plywood.

PTI

Pre-Trip Inspection – a procedure performed on every refrigerated container to ensure its readiness for loading and verify the proper functioning of its cooling system. Each aggregate has a sticker with the date of its last inspection, serving as proof of the container's reliability. Also known as a pre-trip or pre-transport inspection.

SOC

*Shipper's Owned Container* – a container sent with goods as cargo, where the container itself is owned by the client during maritime freight.

TWISTLOCK

A special "clip" that allows containers to be vertically connected.

CUSTOMS SEALING EYE

A fitting with a hole located near the latch or on the doors, enabling the container to be secured with a seal or padlock.

WAM

A device installed in a refrigerated container that allows for remote monitoring of the container's temperature and other parameters.
